KILCHRIST CASTLE COTTAGES

Kintyre Peninsula, Scotland

Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty

* 4 Cosy Cottages *   Dog friendly (except MacLeod Cottage)

People have been drawn to the peace and tranquillity of the Kintyre peninsula for thousands of years.

Kilchrist Castle Cottages are perfectly placed towards the south of the peninsula, nestled in the lea of a castle surrounded by rolling Scottish countryside. They sit in total peace and isolation for a real authentic retreat or Scottish experience. You’re welcome to seek solace from it all; for reading, private prayer or just some peace and quiet with your feet up enjoying the beautiful nature and wildlife that surrounds you.

But you will never feel alone! Just three miles from Kilchrist, with some very friendly locals, Campbeltown has shops, cafés and bars plus churches of multiple denominations with regular services. For those seeking more, there are golf courses, whisky distilleries and the iconic ancient islands of Gigha, Islay and Arran – just at your doorstep. From endless vast beaches, miles of untouched forest and moorland to Michelin starred fine dining; all is within easy reach.

You are spoilt for choice with our offerings of four holiday cottages, full of character and charm. Each is finished to a fine specification, including fully fitted kitchen or kitchenette, toilet and shower rooms and smart TV’s. We also offer free WiFi – though many guests prefer to leave the world behind as they lose themselves in the quiet charm of the cottage surrounds.

  • Angus Cottage is our largest cottage featuring a spacious lounge and is over two floors, sleeping a family of up to five. The property includes an ancient stone spiral staircase which may not be suitable for all guests.

  • MacLeod Cottage is our more premium cottage (sorry, no pets allowed in this cottage): a single storey cottage which stands on its own and fitted with modern amenities, creating the perfect retreat for a couple.

  • MacGregor Cottage is a two storey cottage for up to three people (with a sofa-bed downstairs), featuring an upstairs lounge with stunning views across the Kintyre hills.

  • Campbell Cottage is a cosy two-bedroom ground floor cottage for up to three people, overlooking the castle, ideal for a small family, or two friends to share.
